At breakfast this morning, I grab the last table in the hotel dining room. I invite a woman, who appears to be alone, to join me. Marilyn, from Seattle, arrived last night. She is waiting to meet her sister, Sharon, and her brother-in-law, who will arrive later this morning.
After breakfast, I go hunting for a new hotel. I really like this hotel, but it’s a bit outside my budget. I locate one just around the corner for 10 Euro less per night.
Later, I go to the National Archaeological Museum. It is quite large and I spend several hours there. It is so amazing to me how so many pots and masks and other treasures can survive thousands of years, even being buried in dirt.
In one of the exhibits, I meet Petra from Amsterdam. She is an artist and very interesting. She is with a tour group that she has traveled with before. When I ask her name for my blog, she says that is not enough and she gives me her business card. ~
