You never know where an event or experience will take you.

Today, I receive an email inquiry about a rebounder (mini-trampoline) that I posted for sale on Craig’s List.

Liora and her husband, Andy, are driving from New Jersey back to their home in Mexico. They stop and shop in the small, east Texas town of Buffalo. Liora finds a book about a diet she previously had success with and, in a chapter on exercise, the book recommends the Needak brand rebounder.

Since they plan to spend the night in Austin, Liora googles on the net “Needak rebounder” and “Austin”, and my Craig’s List posting comes up. She emails me and, after several email and phone exchanges, I suggest we meet at the Oasis restaurant (oasis-austin.com) on the outskirts of Austin, world famous for its view of the sunsets over Lake Travis. Liora laughs. The lady at the bookstore in Buffalo recommended they visit the Oasis. So, we meet in the Oasis parking lot, she likes the rebounder and she purchases it.

Liora comments on how great it is that the universe provided her with the very rebounder she requested and within just a few hours. Yes, I understand what she means, and I tell her about my intention the night before of meeting two people with information about Greece and how they showed up. Liora smiles and explains that she used to live in Greece on the island of Skiathos, and she offers to provide me with contacts.

It is fascinating to me how the same series of events provided Liora, traveling on her way to Mexico, with the brand name rebounder she wanted and me with potential contacts for my trip to Greece; and all of this from a simple posting on Craig’s List. ~
