Today, as I complete my first experience volunteering at South by Southwest (SXSW) (www.sxsw.com) in Austin, Texas, I reflect on all I’ve learned about this amazing event. I’ve lived in Austin nine years and, while I heard about the music festival, I never realized how broad this event really is and how many opportunities there are for learning, networking, people watching, star gazing (as in celeb type stars) and just plain having fun.

Having spent the last few weeks involved with SXSW, I thought I’d share some tips that I’ve learned about preparing for and attending this event, as well as some great ways to save money while at SXSW. So, check back over the next week or so for additional posts about attending SXSW!
